Mercer County Photography Exhibit 2009 will take place from September 8 - October 8, 2009, at The Gallery at Mercer County Community College. Artists working in all photographic media/process who are 18 years old or older and living, working or attending school in Mercer County, NJ, are eligible to enter up to 3 photographs for consideration. Jurying for this show is a one-day process, takes place on Saturday, August 29. A full calendar with times is below. The juror for this year's exhibition is Edward Fausty, an award-winning photographer/printmaker with degrees from Yale University and Cooper Union. An NEA Survey Grant recipient in Photography, he has work in many collections, including The George Eastman House, the U.S. Library of Congress, and Yale University.
More than $1,000 in prizes, including the Mercer County Cultural & Heritage Commission Purchase Awards will be announced at the Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony event which takes place on Wednesday, September 9, from 5:00 - 7:30 pm. The Commission is the sponsor of this biennial exhibit.
